302 swap questions?

i am currently in the middle of doing a 302 swap in 87 b and i have the truck prepped and ready for the motor to go in i am just waiting on a few parts.. but i have not found any info on what rear end would be the best to use and also if there are any differences in the f 150 oil pan and the mustang oil pan...the motor is fuel injected as of right now but just to save some time for temporary i am going to be running it carbed to just get it up in running and to save some money

I have a Question for you what kind of modifications have you done to the engine so the 302 would fit in?????? like to the cross member motor mounts etc like that ??????

I had an extended cab that had a 302 in it when I bought it. The person I bought it from put a Ranger rearend in it. I was thinking about a 5.0 Mustang rearend. Factory posi and the later years have 5-lug. I haven't done any width measuring though.

Mountaineers and Explorers had posi rears in them... but not all.
Some even have disc brakes.
I'm actually putting a 7.5 inch 10 bolt posi S-10 rear in mine.

exploder 8.8 rear end 95+ will have disc brakes and are spring under already. even come in 3:27 and 3:54 gearing

the 4 lug mustang 8inch is too wide of a rear but the best you can use because thats what came on them stock. If my measures are right and if you can get a better offset than factory mustang wheels and 4x4 sheet metal you would tuck with minor mods. maybe just a little flare of the rear toward the top of the bed.

what type of radiator you using, and what dimensions?

yea but does any one know what kinds of mods you have to do to the engine bay and if the stock mazda rear end can take the torque or not and if some one has a project they have done or are doing to put a 302 in the truck if you could post some pics and if you have one with it post some pics up so i can see what it looks like

buy a shortened mustang racing rear 9 inch with disc conversion already done, maybe chrome??
