Do I need custom parts for this to work on a 88 B2200 2.2L? I don't understand why Mazda has all that stuff in there if the truck works without it.

I used 14mm x 1.5mm wheel lugs from O'Reillys ($4.99 for four) to plug the pair tube outlets coming out the upper manifold heat shield.

I'm guessing it does. I'm not 100% on hat though. This is the first time I've messed with the mazda internals

yes. vacuum advance to the distributor. cause it advances your timing, and your distributor is where most of your timing takes place

now the vaccuum advance is on the intake correct? on the firewall side of the intake manifold? i know sounds stupid, but i plan on doing this in my project until i get my weber. I just wanna make sure i do it right
