the cat converter has been gutted and seems to be pumping out plenty of exhaust, o2 sensor was replaced about 6 months ago due to it throwing a check engine light, everything from the coil to the plugs is new with the gapping set and an msd street fire coil, MAF is original and cleaned when i installed the new ECU! however i think ive pretty well given in and am going to take it to a shop, my thought now is maybe the throttle position sensor im just over dumping time and money into trouble shooting

Might wanna try a fuel pressure regulator.. easy to check and try and see if its working.. just take a pair of needlenose vicegrips and clamp off the return fuel line.. if its running better than suspect a bad regulator.. just a quick test to be certain

Strange, regarding the MAS. I swapped 3 different units in mine and all responded the same. Go to an auto wrecker and start swapping out parts. My local guy let me troubleshoot in the parking lot. Distributor, ecu, MAS, and the egr solenoid. All were fine, and it only cost time. I ended up soaking the intake manifold gasket with carb cleaner. It turns out there was a bolt missing from the bottom and it was leaking. Keep us in the know. Good luck

there arent any of these trucks in the wrecking yards around here, and as far as spraying the intake for leaks ive already done that

How about Mazda MPV vans? They also had the G6 engine. I don't know what else to suggest. I can empathize with you, my truck was killing me until I got it solved. Do you have the shop manual? It has some good basic test procedures to follow. Good luck.

just a Haynes manual, so i was checking my TPS and i tested all 3 wires and wasn't getting any continuity through any of them when disconnected from the wiring harness, would that be a bad TPS?

How about I give you a link to my drop box and you can download a copy of the factory manual. It is pg f2-181 you are looking for (I think). Shoot me a pm with your email address.

No problem, I hope you can get it sorted. Like I said earlier, you can pull codes using an needle (non digital) ohm meter. it may lead you in the right direction. Keep us in the know. Cheers, S.
