how much did that end up costing you if you don't mind me asking?

It's right at 300 plus tax. I haven't gotten it yet, as I need to get the 5.0 in the truck first, but the only issue I can think of for someone that has the factory instrument cluster is if it will read properly on the Mazda fuel gauge. I'm sure one of the more electronically certified guys will lend a helping hand in answering that question; but worst come to worst, you'd be able to drive for a while on 38 gallons.

Sounds good but that's a little extreme for me. But you might need it with that 5.0

woo-wee! 15ish gallons lasts me a week and a half driving between 50 and 75 miles a day! 38 gallons...i'd forget how to fill up!

one tank would last me about ~175 miles.

Most of us couldn't afford to fill a gas tank of that size !!!

it also depends on how i'm driving. If i'm driving like a mad man i burn ~1/4 tank a day

so last week i got 17.9 mpg and today i was about 18.5. don't know why its doing better, maybe the motor is breaking in?!?

anyway, i'm still thinking about getting the bigger tank to get better range. maybe i'll get it and report back to you guys.

Guinea pig! haha tell us how you like it!

38 gallons might be a bit overkill, but having 750-950 miles on a tank sure beats filling up all the time. plus i drive 65-70 miles round trip to and from work. For at least 2 full weeks I'll be able to flip off high gas prices!
