Hey guys I haven't worked on my Mazda yet but wanted to share another project of mine I've been working on.

The overall plan is a bagged daily with a few body mods and a little engine work for fun.

It's going to take me awhile to get the pics and the thread up to current. At this time it has shaved fenders, stake pockets, smooth tailgate skin. I also have a 3/4 drop kit, centerline 18s, 4x4 valence, splash grill, projector lights and street scene mirrors waiting to go on it.

The background may be interesting or boring so you may want to skim over it to the pictures. If you like a good build up story follow along with me.

Driving a bagged vehicle every day was getting old. Also I was away from my tools so I couldn't really work on my current daily much but what really got to me was when it got hit in the parking lot.

This was before it was bagged in the back and had a lot of items shaved. I miss this look.

After bagged and some body work.

Luckily I hadn't painted it yet but that made me want something that I wouldn't really care if it got dents and scratches during daily use.

Now on to this project:

This truck started out as a beater to use for my college commute. I think it was summer of 2004 when I got the parts trucks. I want to say I spent around $500 for both including renting a trailer and having a few buddies help me tow them.

This is where I started.

I can't find all of my pics right now of all the part swapping but it wasn't to bad.

When I finished selling all of the extra parts the truck was free and them some.

Like most other college students, money was tight for me also so I spray bombed it with red spray paint. These pics are after I sprayed it before the glass was put back in. I hate spray paint but I knew I would strip it and paint it right one day.

I can say this is one of the most reliable vehicles I've owned. Since I've had it, I've only had to do regular maintenance on it. It has around 212000 miles on it now.

Like most of you I've changed my mind a lot while owning it as to what direction I wanted to go. At one point I was going to convert the body to a Mazda B Series and found someone to trade me his Mazda bed for mine.

If anyone was curious the beds are interchangeable from 93+.

Thanks Hunter, I'm usually working on something just to lazy to post

Well I finally graduated college so I bought a new car to use for my commute. Anyone in Atlanta can tell you, it's not fun to drive in Atlanta 70 miles daily with a 5spd.

Even though I didn't need to drive it every day anymore I kept it to use as something to haul. It was right on time too because the a/c went out in the middle of summer.

I'm still looking to find a pic of the tree beside the truck. It wasn't fun cutting and splitting all of that wood. I think I got 5 loads just from the branches.

LOL Yeah I have to many trucks. I tell my gf I'm just stocking up before we get married and she can tell me no.

I have 2 Rangers, a Toyota pickup, a Mazda B Series and a Corolla.

I haven't finished anything yet
