LOL Back to the project!

Well it's been a pain to get to this point stripping the paint from every nook and cranny.

The exterior is there, will just need one more look over before primer. All glass is pulled. Next week I'll start stripping the door jambs and also I'll be dropping off the bumpers to get the chrome stripped.

I do bagged89...

Baha, what are you using to strip the paint, a grinder or are you using a stripper and elbow grease? What made you decide to strip all the paint instead of just clearing the bad spots etc? Are you planning a special paint job? Dan

Thanks Jenko, I hope you don't mind but I'll probably be using the ideas I got from your build to make a new intake manifold for it.

Hey Dan, yeah for the most part I'm using the stripper to do most of the work, then I go back over it with a strip disk, or wire wheel on the drill. It works pretty effectively. When I learned to do body work I worked in a shop that specialized in restorations and they preferred to take everything down to metal. So that and knowing that this truck's panels had some history I wanted to make sure the paint job you see is the only one on it. I'm glad I did, I found some spots on the bed that used a lot of filler that can use some extra metal work, and the rest of the panels seemed to have multiple paint jobs underneath. Overall I'm pretty happy with the condition of the panels.

Thanks for the posts. I'm dropping off the bumpers tomorrow and will start to strip the door jambs!

Sometimes I wish I did that lol

Another small update:

Driver side door is ready, I just need to feather the edges on the part that is going to be behind the door panel. I haven't decided if I'm going to go that far yet
