Did I just read that you brushed the primer on?? Wow! That would have been a long and frustrating process! Oh well, that's how she goes I guess. When is it getting high build and some color? Seems to me like a waste to unmask, only to remask and prime/paint. Unless you're leaving it in epoxy like the other on the first page.Either way, nice prep work!

Thanks man. I didn't have a backup gun on the first night I sprayed and I didn't want to waste the primer so I brushed it on then only. Yeah even though it was just the door jambs it was still a pain. I went over everything including the jambs with a new gun.

I'm going to have fun with this for a little while before paint. I want to add the turbo and air suspension before I block sand or do any more body work.

I've been taking my time cleaning all the rubber and brackets as they go back on. Also doing some work to align the panels but will need to work on that more later.

I couldn't resist, here's some updated pics.

The hood isn't closed, and also the grill and valence aren't secured but you get the idea. I think it's going to look pretty mean with the inter cooler showing behind the cut out.

Maybe one of these days when you finally come up to get the mazda i will see this beast. When it gets here maybe i can go ahead and finish sprayin that tailgate for you.

Lol I'll probably never hear the end of the brush. We could make it look like wood grain Bratliff

I'll hopefully be ready at the end of this week Justin but I won't be able to come until I go off on call at the end of next weekend.

That's just guide coat on the tailgate, I'm marking all the areas that need body work before blocking the whole thing.

Good grief man, blocking the whole thing?? I thought this was a DD, not a show princess! Gonna feel real bad when a soccer mom's child bashes that nice body work with the door of their teal Sunfire in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Will look slick until then!

I'll have night mares for sure. I'm glad my daily has that molding on the side.

Kind of making progress, will hopefully get the drop kit on and wheels on by the end of next week.

MAN I love the lines of Rangers! I may have missed it, but what are you using for a drop kit and wheels?
baha   +1y
Yeah I think they are pretty undeniable too, especially the 93-97 range.

Here is a preview. I only have the rear done. It's a DJM 3/4 drop kit from modPLANT.com, and 18x8 Centerline Voltage Wheels from modPLANT.com.

They need polished from sitting.

I love how the wider tires look in the back.
