The Mazda steps down to take a break andd slowly do work without me having to worry about needing to drive it. And i replaced it with this:

I used to have one of those--great mileage, comfy (except for the combo of 2" drop springs and 35 series tires), had leather and fit the fam. Got rid of it for something with awd for utah/wyoming.

Here it is with new 17" rims/tires with a 40 series just before we traded it.

Better mpg's, more space, more get up and go than my 2.6, cheaper insurance with more coverage and cheap on maintenance. If you drove it you'd probably hooked just as easily as i was

You should have done the jdm bB awd 1.3ltr swap and kept it lol.

Been doing work to the xb since i picked it up.

So far i have:

-New plugs
-Changed oil twice as I'm coverting to synthetic, changed oil filter each time
-New air filter
-two front tires
-installed the remote start that i originally bought for the Mazda into the xb
-cleared the amber lens out of the headlights, still have amber bulbs
-removed the red reflector in the rear tail lights
-Repaired the plastic tabs on the front upper grill and removed the big scion logo
-rear wiper motor/blade delete
-cleaned up and repainted the stock steelies with satin black caliper paint
-voodoo shrunken speedo/larger tach mod
-swapped the stock axle back exhaust for a not so stock axle back muffler to give some extra growl to the exhaust
-put 1/4in spacers on the back wheels. Needs more tho


In the process of installing the remote start over a couple days time meant not having to do all the wiring in one shot. Just wait to connect the harnesses to the brain, and wait to put in fuses, but that meant needing to remove the dash multiple times to do the install. I could not believe how easy Toyota made it to pull the top half of the dash out, which is what i needed to do in order to access where i was mounting the brain. Which, by the way, the xb has tons of room under the to half of dash. I'll get pictures next tinge i pull it. Super simple, takes about 5 minutes and you're under/behind the dash from the top. Only like maybe 8 screws, mostly snap fit plastics.

Any plans to drop it any? It looks good though I rode in one of those once and I have to say they're a lot more roomy than they look! Keep it up man (just don't forget the longbed!!)
