You can definately remove the tubes from the exhaust to the breather. Plate it off at the pre cat, remove the reed valves from breather & plate that off. I have a pacesetter and it's fine so you will be with factory minus that stuff. Can't say anything about carb have not got there yet.

by plate it off... you mean weld it or "cap" it off somehow? how did you do yours? do you have any pics?

Yea just seal it. After the pre cat you will need some decently thick metal & make a template from the tubes. There is one or two bolt holes on the flange. And then on the breather take out the valves the tubes hooked to & seal that off good. Some thin metal, RTV, and a few rivets. Will try to get pics of the breather later. I left the exhaust mani & precat about 80 miles from here. lol and never thought to take a pic of that

you can take all of it off wires sensors vacuum and all but it will run rich as fuck. it will run though. maybe not the best in the world but it will run.

so is there any way to adjust the fuel mixture after the emissions shit is removed???? my two options are:
weber/pacesetter header
or
302 v8 swap
i just haven't figured out exactly what i'm wanting to do as of yet but i need to remove the emissions stuff so i can tub the front so i can lay out.

well if you are getting a weber, you can adjust the mixture. you just cant on the stock carb.
