i have a 92 b2200 thats been a trouble free beater for awhile but here lately its been a different story. but this last problem it just started having trouble engaging and disengaging gears. but it was an intermitent prob. well i bought a clutch master cyl and slave cyl. i started with just the master cyl. first cause other vehicles ive had when the slave cyl. went out it would loose pedal all together. so i put the master cyl on and it does fine to work but on my way home from work at night it acts up. same as before. but this time the pedal was letting out at the floor and i thought well maybe it is the slave cyl so the next day i put it on bleed the system very good several times. (also before i install the slave cyl i noticed it wasnt released all the way i would push it back by hand then mash the clutch down again and it would stay pused out) so new slave cyl go to work does fine come home from work starts giving me probs again wont engage or disengage gears. and is letting out at the floor. im questioning my new master cyl. i havent had time to mess with it the past 2 days but when i do im going to start with bleeding it again although im 100% sure all the air was out the first time. but does anyone have any other suggestions, had this problem before?

anyone?

If it seems to work OK after bleeding the system, then is not OK a few hours later, that sure sounds like a classic "air in the system" symptom. Anything with the pressure plate/bell housing won't "get better" at times.

yea thats my thinking to, but im wondering if the new master cyl isnt sucking air some where on it? like i said its been bleed bleed and bleed. but im going to try again today and see how it does, if all fails im puttin a new clutch master cyl on.

i spent some time with it today and im sure without a doubt there is no air in the system. but the clutch is just not releasing. as i stated it has a new master cyl and slave cyl on it. do yall think that one of those is bad and keeping it from releasing or could it be a clutch prob? i didnt think clutch at first since it was intermitent but now it does it all the time. the clutch lets out at the floor, and when you try to stop with it in first gear it keeps pulling till you stab the brakes and choke it down. im thinking i got a shitty part from our local store....anybody got any advice before i throw another master cyl or clutch cyl on it? when the pedal is pushed in and released then the fork wont return all the way but you can push it back by hand. so if yall agree with me that its a new part issue which one would be more likely to be bad im thinking the master cyl. advice i need this truck back on the road soon its my dd and driving my mach 1 everyday with gas where it is and on slicks isnt the best feeling. thanks

have some one push the pedal and keep your eye on the slave, check to see if the clutch fork moves all the way back, and then try to push it back by hand, if u have to move it back by hand you might have a pressure plate problem

I'm having a clutch problem as well with engaging gears.... I just rebuilt a dropped in the engine. Hooked everything up and when the truck is off it goes into gears no problem but when the truck is running it won't. Also, i can start it without holding the clutch pedal down.... did i put the damn clutch plate in backwards?

check to see if the clutch fork is moving when u push the clutch

it does move, I bled the system and still nothing.
