Thanks for the heads up. I'll definitely keep an eye on it. Is there a "standard" recommended electric fan (good fit) or trans cooler?

I got a medium duty trans cooler from autozone and completely bypassed the radiator. That alone will keep the engine tons cooler. And jus a universal 16" e;ectric fan will work. Thats what i'm puttin on mine when i get around to it

Ya sorry, i forgot to mention that, i have an auto. And wow... a 13" fan?? geez... i didnt know you could go that small

well I have an automatic so it has the 2 core radiator which helps and I have an oil cooler..I have never had my truck get above 1/2 on the temp gaugeand my fan has a thermo that is adjustable so I have it set to come on at lower temps in the summer and higher in the winter.13 inch is fine for me but may not work for u and the larger engine.13 inch was spec for the 2200 with auto by the manufacturer(Flexalite).bj

Just picked up the head about an hour ago. It's as good as new now. He said is was warped slightly, but other than that it was in great shape. He resurfaced it and went through all of the valves/seats, cleaned and reassembled for $220 (including parts and new gasket set - not valves/springs).

I'm going to try to stick it on late this evening and/or early tomorrow morning before my help for my Jeep project comes into town. After they get here, I need all hands on the Jeep build.
