Not saying the guy is totally wrong, but not totally agreeing with the guy either...as most of the parts will interchange between the cars & trucks running these engines, the factory parts catalog prolly list all applicable applications, hence the reference to the mx6 & 626 on some of his listings....on that note, there are only two f series engines that I know of what came with a forged crank, that is a few of the later fe3's, and the R series (diesel) engines... here is where some of that info is..
I have seen only one picture of a 626gt (j-spec = capella) with one of these engines, it was turbo, and carb'd, never a truck, but I do know that there was a b series varient sold in thailand called the magnum / thunder / fighter ) but have never saw a pic, nor do I know if it was fi or carb'd.... if the specs on the boost come inbetween 5-8 psi, to save money maz could have just jetted the carb slightly richer and went on it's merry way to keep price down....none of these f series engine that I know of came with forged rods or pistons....I have heard that the valves are +1mm larger intake & exhaust in the magnum motor, this is prolly to help flow rating on the head with the turbos....and to that note, they prolly would have had to put a slightly different spec cam than what came in the trucks too, with that said, some of which is based on speculation (ie, cam & valves and comp ratio lessened by thicker gasket) which is how myths are spread, but as I said before, IF I were to get it, the first thing to do would be drop the pan, and pull the head...this would cure the questions once & for all, that is unless anybody has Mr. Mazda's personal japan hideaway phone #??? in which case I'd throw in to give him a call & save from tearing into a perfectly good engine!
Other than that, Great find BJ, and good luck if you are bidding on that engine, I wish I could, but with my engine just showing up, and nyt jr. on the way, I'd be asking for my head on a plate from the wife if I did bid on it!!
