Been real busy the last few days, but finally found some time to perform the test.
Idle is at 850, hot.
Dwell reading was around 45-50 degrees at idle.
It would drop down to around 20 degrees if I reved up the motor to what I'm guessing was 2500-3000 rpm.
When I let the throttle close back to idle, the dwell reading would creep back up to the 45-50 reading in about five seconds.
I hate to admit this, as you think I would have checked everything before calling out for help....
...but, as I was hooking up the meter I found a vacuum line to the thingymabob pictured below was disconnected.
Hose hanging in close proximity to the fitting on the bottom of the thingymabob.
Could the non-functioning thingymabob have been causing the poor fuel milage?
Plugged it in before the test, but it didn't seem to make any difference to how the truck was running (still really good).
