the only issue I have noted is that the tranny "hunts" a lot from 2-3 gear when it gets under a load.I have adjusted the vacuum modulator a tad and it is better but it still has trouble when pulling a lot of vacuum.

Everything seems to fine so far. The only issue I have is when the engine is cold it acts like it's loading up and running rough. Have to feather the throttle or the engine falls on it's face, but once it's at operating temp. it's fine. Any ideas? Maybe the choke needs adjusted to let off earlier?

Tonight I was hauling some grass to the dump and the valves started making all kinds of noise. I added some oil and that didn't seem to help. Now that the engine has been sitting and cooled down, the valves are alot quieter. I think the little bit of spirited driving and high revs loosened them up. I'm going to have to drive it like before, keeping the rpm down. I'm also thinking that I may end up doing the b2000 cam swap earlier then I wanted.

no adjustment on the Weber choke.either on or off.mine also loads up some on cold start.try adjusting plugs to .o35 gap and advance timing a degree or so to see if that helps.if not, might get a set of smaller jets from Redline.BJ

I adjusted the timing by ear, haven't checked it with a light yet. Checked the plugs and they are at .035. Changed the cap, rotor, plugs, fuel filter and checked the plug wires a couple weeks ago when I was trying to get the stock carb to work right. I think the running rough when cold is just something I'm going to have to live with. I'm used to working on fuel injected GM cars, was carburators are all new to me.
