ok, well I was so irritated with it, i had to take a break from messing with it. I have yet to find out for sure where the tranny fluid is coming from. I'm gonn get it up on jackstands tomorrow morning and add some fluid to see where its coming from. It does appear that its coming from between the engine and the tranny. So, I'm guessing front tranny seal? I will also check all of the things that you mentioned, Like I said, I was just so pissed that it is messing up AGAIN, that I just didnt feel like messing with it. So, I will have some Real updates tomorrow.

I will also check the installation of the tstat and make sure that is crorrect.

As far as the timing, its not totally running like ass, just has a bad miss. If I had a vid cam, I would upload a vid so you can hear it, I'm very convinced that its timing, I'm not a mechanic, just a broke guy trying to keep his truck running. Corrct me if im wrong, the best way to set it correctly is to set piston #1 at TDC, then figure out where the rotor is suppossed to point inside the dizzy, and install it like that, correct?

And lastly does anyone have any close up pics of the rear side of the intake manifold on a b2600, I seem to have forgotten exactly how the brackets go on and it looks like ASS, not to mention, my tranny dipstick is not bolted down. And yes, Ive already checked to see if the leak was coming from there, and its not. It is greasy but not fresh. Its like all the fluid drained while sitting, NOT running.

Yes, It has has been pressure checked, a full valve job, new seals and been resurfaced. I told him to do it all, so I wouldnt have any bs problems with that same crap.

poor mans way to set time.Take #1 plug out, stick soda straw down the plug hole until u encounter piston top.remove coil wire from dist cap, then rotate engine until straw goes up as far as it can and starts back down. find the point where the straw is at the top of the compression stroke, then remove dist cap. rotor button SHOULD be pointing at #1plug wire outlet on dist cap or 11 oclock. If not, loosen dist, rotate cap until rotor button contact and #1 plug wire outlet line up.Thats timed at Top Dead Center.Truck shouldthen be timed via light at 6 degrees Before Top Dead Center.bj
