Sounds like a distributor problem to me.

Could also be a carb issue. You obviously put your foot down, maybe there was some junk in the carb, and the sudden demand for fuel sucked it into a jet, where normal driving would have left the junk floating in the bottom of the float. Usually pilot jets plug first since they are the smallest, and those control your idle fuel.

Let me go check that right now!

One other thing, check cam timing, maybe it skipped a tooth.

I thought timing too. But the higher rpm I idle it at with my foot, the better it runs. I imagine if it was timing it would run bad at no matter what RPM. Am I wrong? damn I was hoping I didn't have to tear into this thing again

If your timimg skipped, it likely jumped back a tooth, making the timing retarded, opening the intake valve later, and the exhaust valve later, higher RPM may give you enough manifold velocity to make it run better, where at low RPM, its not opening the valves long enough to breath properly. Cam timing is easy enough to check.

Sounds like a clogged slow slow speed jet to me. Just coincidental it started to acting up at the time of dropping the hammer. Hahaha.

1987. 2.2 weber pacesetter

Sorry guys, I've been working 12hr shifts at work all week.
I'm getting ready to go out there and look into the carb.
The difference (per week) in gas from the B2200 compared to my GMC is 48.00. That's right, I spend 48 dollars more per week (mon-sat) driving the GMC

Hey, help me with this weber! I shouldn't have to take it off right? Which needles would you suggest? I've only ever messed with the one on the back side that controls idle
