Well I figure I will start a project thread. Didnt think I was going to show much of what i was doing on this...But what the heck, why not. Plans are....
Bag/trad. bd (will be my first attempt at a bd)
350 motor swap
Lots of metal work...inside and out.

Its going to be a slow go thats for sure...Im just taking my time on it...I didnt plan to get anything else...Then this came up for like 300 bucks...Still running, etc...So eh.. I figured it would be funner then a golf cart (which is what i was gonna do)

Anyway....Heres a few starter pics.... Rebuilding the motor is currently my main winter project for it...then I will just go from there.

As mentioned before ...Im new to Mazdas....But in the scene for about 6-7 yrs. now...But I am sure I will be full of questions/opinions/constructive criticism, etc.

Nice project man I love v8s in little trucks. I like the detail you are putting into the engine, what color are you going to paint it?

Painting as far as motor or exterior?

Motor im kinda undecided at the moment....It just depends on how well all of this turns out (it is so time consuming...sheesh)

Exterior paint.....Its gonna be some sort of 2 tone....surprise surprise huh....i think i have the colors i want...but im keeping it under wraps for now....Im so far from paint, i might change my mind.

Im just taking my time and trying to find deals for this whole build....I promised myself i would not sink a **** ton of money in this one like i did the dakota.....But so far Im doing really good.... ive got (almost all my air stuff/wheels/start of the motor/the truck/dash (currently keeping secret)/tail lights/new seats..etc.. and a 4wd parts truck of which i swiped the 4x4 sheetmetal

And I have not crossed $1400 total (i did trade a 4wheeler for the air parts) so thats not included in cost

nice man good work on the wheeling and dealing and if i decide on the RB25det motor for my truck instead of the v8 i might be able to help you with the engine mounts tranny mounts and new crossmember for under the motor.
