76 Ford Courier with Miata suspension and soon miata engine

How? Is the 350 junk? There is NOTHING wrong with a 4.3, I've had quite a few in different years and models. The only engine specific problem I've EVER had with a 4.3 is valve seals and you can swap them without pulling the heads. The 289 is a good motor and it does stay true to the Ford theme, but don't discount the 4.3 because someone said it's junk... I call B.S.

Well the 2.0 motor is knocking. I couldnt hear it before because of the exhaust. Ive lined up another motor. This one is rebuilt and I will be able to pickup next weekend. So if all goes well she will be back on the road. None of the guys that I lined up for a carb, intake or header have gotten back to me. I will give them another few weeks before bugging them again, as they stated before it would be a few weeks until they can get things lined up to ship out.

yeah its out and waiting for me to get back out there and tear off the few parts I need for the new engine. Unfortunately its way to hot and I'm way to lazy to finish today lol.

ok so truck doesnt run, motor was junk. Im tired of messing around with old engines. Motor mounts are gone again and waiting on a new transplant. No not a v8! Hopefully a 4 cyc miata 1.8. Unless a $200 kia sportage motor lands in my lap.
