ok, after seeing the Geo Tracker and matching trailer yesterday at Relaxin, I got the itch to build me a bagged trailer matching my truck. I found this really good deal on a truck that is being parted out. still has some usable parts on it, but i'm mostly interested in the rolling chassy. The Frame is already notched with links. I have a bed here that just needs to be patched. I also have a lead on a windowless canopy, then itll be painted to match my truck and ill haul it to shows.

Went out and tool a look at a truck today. Looks pretty good. The welds could be cleaned up a lil bit and finish boxing in the monster notch. It currently has a 2 link set up thats ran on the inside of the frame with a panhard bar. bag mounts are set forward of the axle giving it massive lift. All it needs is upper plates, bags, lines, schrader valve and a LOT OF TLC. Im gonna use the bed I have here. Seems like a really simple straight forward build.

You think I should run a scrader or some quick connects and 2 valves to control it from inside the truck.

So here is what it looks like:

That would be cool. I would try to do some sort of quick disconnect and valves so you control it from your truck. That would make it that much cooler.

i thought so too. I m ay just run a schrader for now, so we can do test lifts with a standard air compressor and air chuck, then upgrade it later down the road.

Actually gonna need four valves for the tilt bed that you are now thinking about as you are reading what i just typed haha.

my buddy in klamath owns the tracker.. he also has his s-10 that he body dropped this winter and suicided his doors.

you could use a male and female disconnect like you use on your airline and air tools. that way you can plug if into your tank for test lifts and also have a connection at the hitch.

I was jsut thinking the same thing today as i was walkiing through lowes Mikey. Great minds think alike.

And I dont think ima do a tilt bed on the trailer Justin. I was told by one of the judges at relaxin that my tilt isnt original due to two other tucks in our club having some sort of tilt on their bed. But on the positive note, they loved the suicide hood. Thanks Leland for the intricate write up. Extreamly Detailed.

so what if its not original. wow i can't believe they would say that..... tilt beds go back to the early 90s. if not earlier then that

fuel door already welded in. in hind sight I should have kept it there with a latch for some sort of light controls.

I know right. it was said that they could tell it was a clearance issues truck just by seeing the tilt without even walking up on it. evedently having 3 tilts in a club is too much.

GOD DAMN, now i gotta do something different with my trailer. Emjay already did it LMAO...J/K... Mines gonna be tight as hell....
