ah -- When your just about done i would call them again and ask them to either fax you this info or allow you to pickup .. Dmv's like to change their story after the fact .. probably would have been best if you got the persons name you spoke to and date as well . Then you can say well so and so i spoke to on such and such day said that a bill of sale would do for me to title this trailer. now your saying ________( fill in blank here) ?
if need be you could always title it in maine . alot of the guys here on the east title trailers / car trailers ( even big rig trailers ) in maine . i think the registration is good as long as you own it .even though they do not live in maine lol .
you dont go through the dmv you have to go through state patrol for inspection
if you dont have a title state patrol will not even look at it thats where you are gonna get hung up.....im just trying to save you time and head ache trust me i just went through it...call
lol sweet a bagged trailer! i will probably end up static/block dropping this thing and adding air shocks... i use it quite often for dump runs and moving shit... it would look better and be easier to load if lowered!
well I dont plan on hauling a lot of things with this trailer, its basically gonna be used to haul items such as chairs, tent, cooler, bbq and such to and from shows
more pics of your setup from the front please? Did you use the old frame like I'm planning or did you make a completely new one? Did you mod the axle in any way?
it looks like the stock mazda frame and axle . all he did ( or someone did) was cut the frame under the cab and torched the rails to bend them in and weld a tongue for the ball to go into on the end . the rest of that setup looks like a stock height truck .
just take some leafs out and put lowering blocks in the rear . And boom. done. Now if your a metal fab guy make your own custom frame simular to a frame a regular manufactured trailer has and put mounts on it where the bed mounts ( stock locations) ..the trailer would probably sit lower on a custom frame and i would use a trailer axle cause sooner or later the "rear" that is taken from the parts truck will eventually need work or put a straight axle under it ha. I have always wanted to do this i actually thought this idea up years ago when i had a parts truck sitting . the idea itself of making a trailer out of a truck isn't new in itself tho people been doing it for years.
