damn dude you are doing a 2 link on the trailer, that's gonna be sweet! I was merely thinking of doing just bags on the axle for my trailer when/if I bag mine. With another vehicle being added to my fleet here that will actually be able to tow it (truck O/C right now) this might get done a lot sooner than later

OK, so it has been hella cold and progress has been really slow due to my welder taking a shit. But its about time i post up some more pics of the Trailer.

Ah, I see that you are making your trailer mount similar to how mine is going to be. That is cool that you are notching your trailer too. I'm definitely following this one. Is yours a LB, SB, or an extended cab shorty?

Thanks for being a fan emjay LMAO. its just a standard cab short bed

Need ya some elec trailer brakes or a hydraulic actuator from a boat trailer! thatd be cool! course ive never seen a matching notched and bagged trailer so i cant say it would be anymore outrageous. awesome metal work man!

How do you plan to mount the hitch to the trailer? All I see is a flat piece of steel there. Also are you going to have quick connects for the air lines? 2nd air tank for the rear as well or just a larger supply on the truck (what I'm likely to do)

Sfls1 has a good idea with the electric brakes, I'm curious as to how one of these works exactly, and how much it would cost.

I am also going to be utilizing the parking brake setup already in the axle, I plan to have some form of handle on my trailer that can be used to help park the trailer when not in use. Overkill, yes, but I'm going to do it anyways. What do you have planned for brakes?

@ sfls1, those are great ideas on the brake system, but im not running any brakes at all on the trailer. I dont plan on parking it on hills or anything like that. it will be stored in my garage with choc blocks under the tires when completed.

@ emjay, I am planning on running all on board air with a secondary battery hidden under the bed. The flat piece of steel will have a hole cut in it and some 2x2 steel will be fed through there and welded to the front crossmember, and butwelded to that front plate with gussets on all 4 corners of the 2x2. i gotta purchase a good size section of 2x2 thats long enough and weld it up.

Ill get pics up of the tounge as soon as i get it done.

So i got the 2 link and panhard the other day and went to work. the 2 link got cut down, alignment pin holes drilled out and pins installed, finally capped off the ends of the 2 link to prevent the inside rusting out. I bought a 2" block kit and u bolts. to mount everything up. modified the axle brackets and welded them to the lower bag plates. test fitted those and started welding them down to the axle. This is where I am so far.
