nice!
paint to match it first, put it on and if you dont like it you can always put on the chrome one for the time being while its out getting chromed

personally i would go with painted bumper just cuz the color of the truck would flow better

im doing phantom grill with chrome shell and painted bumper on my grey truck

I've been looking at it today and I'm leaning towards painting it too. Plus I can paint it for free at my shop

Chrome is Automotive Jewelry!
Not much of it on cars today.

Just finished reading your thread... and damn. Truck is bad. I would paintthe bumper as well... looking forward to seeing what motor swap you end up doing.

I really like the filled chrome bumper center idea. I wish i didn't have holes in mine.
At pro body parts locally the primed black center was 50 and chrome was 90 and I grabbed the chrome center. Check my thread the cab is 95% assembled!

I bought this bumper from rock auto for right under $50 shipped. I'm going to paint it next week and if I don't like it I'll buy another and have it chromed.

Here it is I'll have some outside pics tomorrow. If it doesn't rain I'm driving it to work. That bumper was a pain to get on I had to re drill 2 of the holes because they were 1/4 inch off and all the rest were 1/4 inch round holes and were supposed to be like 3/8 square holes. Then had to run to the hardware store and get 4 more stainless carriage bolts because the bottom of this bumper had more holes than the chrome one.

Yep! Been there, done that!
Those China or Taiwan bumpers look great, but the holes are NOT right for sure! I have another brand new chrome one in the garage awaiting my Red regular cab truck........good thing I have a Dremel tool and a small triangle file to relocate and square the corners up!!

LOL, I just learned something tonight! Those triangular shaped files are apparently called a "Three Square File".......gotta love Google!
