Project: Mazdizzle 88 b2200 build turbo FE3

Making slow progress the past few days. Got the rear axles back together and finally in the truck. I HATE DRUM BRAKES!!! Fought with the stupid spring that goes over the top holding the shoes together for a while but I finally won. Forgot to put the backing plate for the brakes on so I had to drive the bearings back off the axle and messed up both outer seals. These axles fought me the whole way but I'm glad they are finally done. Going to get fluid for the rear end today and bleed the brakes. Hopefully start on the bed floor tonight so I have somewhere to mount my air tank.

New switchbox came in

I was unhappy with the way the rear bag brackets were so I cut them off the frame and straightened them out. Going to finish welding them in tonight

Got rear bag brackets welded in last night and measured for shocks. Think I'm going to use 93 nissan hardbody 4x4 shocks in the rear. They have almost 9" of travel and are 13 3/4" compressed. It's hard finding a shock that has enough travel and isn't 16" + long. I will loose a little lift with these but not much. Pics will come later

Slow progress but I finally got the rear shocks done. Used the 93 nissan 4x4 shocks mounted on the lower link bars right between the bag and axle. Only problem is at full lift the shock bodies barely touch the bags. So I'm going to re-drill the upper mounting holes and move them into the bar about a 1/2 inch and we will be good.
