I honestly think you have more money in silicone 90's than I have in my entire truck. Thats alot of plumbing. I wanna see it destroy some rear tires.

Definitely a wild setup you have there! Should be a real head turner when done.
Ok, now the question... how much turbo lag do you think there will be with your system?
Or is that not really much of a concern given the amount of V8 power already on tap

Did you bead your tubes?
If not, check this out.

Yes I definitely did bead my tubes as I don't want to have them blow off at 20 plus psi.

I made a tool from an old muffler clamp and a set of vice grips. Now it wasn't as easy as it would seem. I had to use my torch to heat the tubes to near melting then crimp them with my vise grips.

Also, yes, I do have more $$ in silicone than either Cher, or Dolly Parton .

I was going to just use PCV pipe from Lowes, but I kept forgetting to buy it when I was there, and yesterday it was raining, and I wanted to get it done so I used the last of the aluminum tubing, and viola.

One other thing that I had to overcome was to try and make something without making the truck look gaudy.

I had thought about side bed vents, but the fab time would just be too much.

This way, even though it has more tubes than a Jungle Jim, I can just make a scoop for it on the bed lid when I have the time, but still be able to drive it.

If I had went with the side scoop idea, I would have to wait to put the bed on for fear of sparks getting into the paint on the cap, fuel cell, and battery {too much stuff to take off}.

nice. so you're going to have a fully enclosed bed? as far as airflow to the filters goes, being that the whole underside is open, adding a scoop will probably not have any effect on performance. personally i would have either just attached the filters straight to the turbos, or just have one bend on each, a short pipe, then the filter (so there'd be one of each side. if anything, you may actually gain power, due to the shorter intake from filter to turbo. if you wanted to you could box those areas off, to minimise heat transfer from the nearby turbo, but with the massive air space you've got i don't think that would really be needed either.

either way, the setup looks like it will work fine.

I actually did have the air filters right on the turbo's at first, but one turbo was very close to the tire, well, actually both were too close.

I could have done what you said, and thought about it, but I wanted to do it this way as a bit of styling. I figure it might make people scratch their heads when they see the small scoop, then see the filters in the scoop.

Power isn't going to be a concern, as with the rear tires I have now its probably going to be too much. If I were trying to race where every hp was needed then I would just run the filters to the turbos, and put some kind of splash guard between them and the tires.

That is looking nice Waldon!, what are you using to keep all the dirt and road stuff from getting to the all the piping and air filters?
mtrain   +1y
With the filters mounted as they are in the pictures they shouldn't get any dirt. As for the pipes, I really don't care too much as this will be driven on the street, no off roading.
