Well I was not a happy Camper for quite some time, I'm getting better but just not there. I'm an Old School Shade tree mechanic I can almost make anything run. But I never got into tuning/dialing one in. So when I dropped the distributer in and it started and ran Well there ya go.
Then I bitched and moaned for 1200 Miles about it being Sluggish and not being able to get to 60 by the end of the exit ramp!
So a Buddy (Probably 10 years younger than me) of mine says well did you adjust your timing? Ahhh No why would I, it runs great? He says if you adjust small amounts and then drive you should be able to pull hills and not slow down and not have to plat for foot.
Well it worked Hence (Learn something every day)

Just a little update Should be Taking the Big tires off it and installing my 40 series Pathy's This week and Laying it on the bump stops.

well it's been a while, Couple months I guess. I am far from finished but here is a little update from the last time.
Motor has about 10K on it now and is running like a champ, still just not happy with the fuel millage or HP I would like but it will do until I can do better.
Hack installed my 2 12's and now I have Bump... still don't have an interior worth sharing (project to come)
Had to put another Trans in Popped the clutch one too many times and lost first gear.. (weird)
Pulled the motor back out and back in during the last weekend to install another rear main gasket and seal... Dern thing started leaking..
Installed My Pathfinders... sure is allot of wheel gap.
Lowered it
installed my Favorite hood,
Painted the grill
Replaced the tailgate handle that was broke!
Have my Toyota Front bumper in the back of the truck, waiting on the lower valance and turn signal lights in the mail.
going to paint the topper and hood hopefully next week then almost ready for a complete Paint job, Not expecting perfect gonna do it myself.

Coming along nicely, my buddy's got a '77 yoda, as I see in your signature. my buddy and I "share" ownership of it, meaning he drives it and I fix it... its gonna be a future project for sure, just gotta blow up the motor so I can put a 22R in it...
