Glad you guys like it. Its almost been a year since we started the build and were hoping to have it complete within the next year but we will see how that goes, but atleast hope to drive it this summer to pull it out and cruise it along side of my tbird.

About the old timers losing intrest, I truely expected that to happen and thought about dodging the question but to be honest I dont care if they like the mini truck thing because were building it for us, and for them to show alot of love prior to them finding out made me feel good.
I have to mention there was quite a few of them who actually thought it was cool we put this much work into a mini truck and an old fella asked my brother if he would entertain the idea of selling the chassis as is so he could drop an old body on it And he wouldnt do it. Overall, the appreciation we got for it surpassed our expectations to say the least.

Un4givn - the show was called Cruisin the Drag and its in greatfalls on central every year first saturday in may. Theres another large show coming up in Helena called Blast from the Past and its another big show in the grass with live music at the Broadwater park.

Not much progress on this build since the last update. We put it to the side in order to prep my project bagged TBird for a complete color change paint job and now I'm waiting on funds to buy the paint products so were starting on the Mazda again.
My brother replaced the pitman arm and also got the clutch master cylinder reversed into the cab and now that it's functional we plan to start the building the wheel tubs and firewall.

Relocating this was easier to do than it sounded, it gets the same amount of travel as stock so it should perform just like stock. If it looks to be tilted downward a little thats because it was mounted this way so we didnt have to modify the sheetmetal in the cab.
Anyway heres a pic

Lowlyfe- I live in great falls. Your truck has some master craftsmanship in it!! My truck is currently stock but I'm hoping to get started on it this winter. I know what you mean about mini trucks, when I tell people my plans they kind of shrug it off.

Thanks for the props, whats the plans for your truck? Ive got a friend in greatfalls with a bagged pathfinder and a bagged courier truck on 20s.

Well the plans have changed as of Friday. My truck died on the way to work. I'm currently talking to the wife about doing a v8 swap, not sure chevy or ford? then get it bagged before winter...

Well that sounds good and bad but hopefully in the end your plans work out.

We got the firewall tubbed on both sides on our project and they turned out nice, they were hand formed with 14gauge sheet metal. Next on the to-do list is to fab the clutch pedal to clear the tub then plumbing the air ride, running new brake / fuel lines and 1/0 gauge power/ground cables along the frame to get this truck moving under its own power again.
Heres pics of the tubs...

Now were onto building the inner fenders for this beast, they are just sitting on the tires in the pic but will have everything welded in soon.
