There will be shocks up front eventually but we got ahead of ourselves and skipped them for now so we could move on to bigger and better things, the paint is rustoleum gloss black and touch up jobs blend in really well so adding shocks later wont be a problem. We also need to fab some bed mounts but that will be later
Looks great man. I used that same paint for my frame. It's cheap and pretty durable. Especially for something that won't see road salt. I even brushed mine on and it didn't show and brush strokes.
Jason, here's a link to another guys build from here that I used ideas from to build ours. I'll get some pics of our setup tomorrow but this will give you a good idea if you haven't seen it yet.
Yeah he did raise his UCA's.
We are running Mazda drop spindles tapered for S10 ball joints and kept the 6lug pattern.
Also I measured the difference from the frame rail and the front crossmember and it's right about 1/2" from laying.
Some have made new crossmembers, though it seems a little more involved than simply fabbing a new one and many other have just dragged it down closer to level which is what we will likely end up doing.
Got all of the suspension parts, the steering parts and some bracketry painted today. Now we can bolt everything back up and have a truck again. The silver is an Omni single stage, it's a nice color in person especially in the sun.
