On the electric choke housing, there are 3 screws. Loosen them up a little and rotate the choke clockwise an 1/8th turn at a time and then blip the throttle till it kicks down.
My choke is completely open... I think I have vacuum problems it sounds like hissing under acceleration. But idk from where. It also stumbled on accel when I'm under load at lower Rpms I wouldn't think the timing would be off. It was running OK before I put the Weber on... thanks for the advice though I didn't know that about the choke adjustment.
Carb was brand new... and yes I have the vacuum advanced hooked up but I'm not sure in the right spot...but I only had one vacuum port on my Carb so.. any other ideas?
Hmmmm. There is only one vacuum port which is by the idle screw so you didn't mess that up. Ummm you got your breather hose hooked up to your charcoal canister right? This shouldn't affect the running of it though...
You have your mixture screws and what not set to factory right? You might try advancing your timing. I read that some had advanced 12 degrees after doing this carb. I wouldn't recommend that far but maybe boost it up to 8 degrees.
here's a pic of it installed. Just wish it was running right... I have noticed a big increase in power especially in the higher rpm ranges. Hopefully it will improve in the lower rpms when I get it running right.
