Whats Up everyone! SO here is my first vehicle and mini truck project. Saw the truck for sale when I was 15 and right away I had been bitten by the bug! Bought it right away and worked on the engine swap all through high school. After high school I moved away but the truck didnt come with me. It got stored in a barn for 7 years and ive decided its time to bag the beast and make her lay frame! Here is all the information on it, as is, before i jump into the air ride suspension.
1988 Mazda B2200 ext Cab
Chevy 4.3 V6 Engine swap:
Holley 4 barrel carb, Elderbrocke intake manifold, MSD Plug wires, Headers, High Flow cat, RedHot Glasspack, and 2" exhaust.
Pathfinder 15" rims with a 50 series tire, and nitro drop shocks.
Now I am done racing it around and its time to get her scraping the pavement. Here are a few pics to get you all on my level.

Well the weekend is here and I was able to get an idea of mine rollin. I had some chrome iron cross mirrors laying around for my motorcycle and thought they just might look better on the beast. Not happy with how they currently sit so i picked up an extra mirror at pick-a-part. Didn't know if I could chop off everything to make it flat and drill a hole through it so the mirrors don't look stupid sitting in the stock location. So the test went well and I think I can get it looking sharp. Now all that's left is to drill a hold in the triangle piece that bolts to the door. Then the mirrors will stick out level instead of the stupid way they sit now.

Here is how they look now just swaping out the mirror part and not the mount

Cutting the mirror mount on my makeshift table cus there is no room in the garage

This is almost good enough. Still, I went too fast but this was just a trial run to see if it could be done.

Next step it to take off the mirrors and mounts on the beast. Take some time and get them looking smooth. Hopefully tomorrow Ill have some time after wake boarding to get some progress.
Let me know what you think!

So life has been busy and I havent had enough time to do anything on the truck yet for the bags. Found a set of 2010 escalade 18"s online and picked them up this past week.

This week I have to get them bored out so i can bolt them bad boys on! They came with 50 series rubber so im going to try to make them fit. running out of cash to keep her going so for now they will have to fit. hopefully i dont have to do too much more cutting to lay out the front.
Here they are mocked up in the driveway

Thats not all that Ive been up too. Got my welder up and running too. Now I just need to get the rims on, and the cutting begins. This week I am going to try to get some steel to fab up my brackets and step notch. Next week my new aluminum rad should show up too. then there will be no more overheating on hot days

The 18" caddies look killer on your truck. What series tire are you running, they 30?

Hey Everyone,

Got a quick update for you, got the rims back from the machine shop and they fit on the hubs perfectly! decided to take a victory lap around the neighbourhood and over the slightest bump my tires were rubbing like crazy! So I need different tires, short and simple.

Im happy with the way they look tho. Still cant bag a truck if the rims dont tuck! tell me does anyone know what tire width I should go with?
thread post photo

Also do I need to trim the inner fender lip to get these bad boys to eventually tuck? Probably will figure it out myself but it would be nice to know before hand.

Defiantly need to get her closer to the ground. Tonight I am making templates out of cardboard for the front bag brackets and my step notch.
Let me know what you think, Cheers!
