Slamming the Blue Beast (88' B2200)

So I've done some research and I can't seem to find an answer for this. I found a 4link kit and the bars are 1.25 OD.



I want to run a setup with bags on the lower bars. Would it work if I added a support gusset along the bottom of the lower bars like this?



Or will I have to get larger lower bars? If that's the case I might buy this kit and modify the lower bars using the existing link ends... Thoughts and or comments guys?

hmm thats a good question, my kit is similar, and i was really hoping for bags on bars as well. i think the lower bars are usually square tube in typical bag on bar kits i see for sale, i think its mostly about where the bar meets the bushing, if its a strong enough joint to handle the weight of the truck or not...
