That's a 2.2 12V head from a 626.

It depends on which direction I decide to go. The B2200 block I have needs to be bored and decked so I can order 626/MX-6/Probe pistons for it or I have a perfect MX-6 shortblock that only needs to be honed.

I like the idea of .040" over but the lower cost of just honing the MX-6 block is more appealing in regard to budget.

okay be weary of the distributor location on that then. There are a couple guys on here that have done this and I remember reading that there was an issue with the dizzy.

Yup! You are correct sir! The dizzy is all up in the firewall with the 626/MX-6/Probe head since it's a FWD head and located at the back instead of on the side at the front like the B's. But Ford EDIS 4 eliminates the distributor altogether.

More details and pics soon

oOo that might work out nicely. Are you going to stick a CARB or are you gonna go for EFI?

Also give this a read... " target="_blank

I'm going to run a Weber at first and then look into some junkyard DIY EFI options. I have a few ideas for that already, but that will be "Phase 2"

Also, all USDM parts will be used. No Bongo stuff here

I need to be a fly on the wall of your shop. I'm sure I could learn a lot.
