So the next step in my build is to get my shop in order for building steel items. I had a sheet of steel I have been building table legs on. 3/8" thick, had it on saw horses. I built this steel frame for it and clamped and welded it down.

Then I built this cab cart for my son's F-100 cab.

I already have a bed cart under my son's F-100 long bed. So the next step is to get the material to build a frame table. Since we are building two tube chassis I will make a nice frame table and then start building a frame for my project.

I also bought these just in case.

I will post pics as I start building this truck. It looks like I will have plenty of Mazda parts for sale very soon. I do have a factory plastic bed liner for a cab plus if anyone wants it. I'm in Texas 25 miles northeast of Dallas.

I got into the scene in 95 and remember both your trucks from show coverage photos from friends that went down to spring splash and your feature in minitruckin. Excited to see your builds I am currently working on a mazda but when I finish this I want to do an F100.

Buy one Mazda and end up with a bunch. Sounds about like the rest of us. I have 4 1/2 minitruck's. Axle has like 10. And someone else has a bunch.

sucks to see what happened to the second truck. I'm sure that the first truck is somewhere out there, probably being stored in a warehouse somewhere waiting to be rediscovered.

Damn Mike!!

I'm impressed! I'm not really a mini-trucker, but I love my Mazda's.......I'm a classic car type of guy, and I know a car person when I see one! Those trucks were some serious projects........I started feeling sick to my stomach as you explained the loss of the second truck.......must have really hurt you I know.

Anyway, I'll be checking this out for sure........glad your back and rejuvenated so you can do another one! Cool stuff man!!

Wow, you are a true veteran of mini trucks!

I do remember seeing the first truck - it was actually the inspiration for a build we did at a shop I worked at in the late 90's.

Very sad to hear about your 2nd truck - but it looks like that is water under the bridge now and you're doing a lot better. I cannot wait to see what you do to this one!

Post some pics of the furniture that you build as well. Always nice to find a truck you built a long time ago. To give you hope I received an email last month with pictures of a truck I did in the mid 90's. Still looks exactly the same, only sad part is that I didn't have the chance to buy it back.

Wow! A true pioneer of mini truckin'. I'm excited to see this build. You're previous builds were so creative and one of the first to come up with them.

Thanks for sharing your new build with us, and stories from the past. I'm sure your son will follow in your footsteps.

In for updates!
