Best closes direct swap you will find is a 2.3 courier motor or a 2.3 turbo motor. Or putting a different front clip on. I ended up doing a 2.3 courier motor. How did you get the oil pan to clear?

I used a front sump pan and pick up for a 72 302 to match the motor. dropped the sway bar, shaved the top off the curved heavy front cross brace that runs between the control arms, notched the front edge of the cross brace, matched everything up to the mounts I made and walah, motor is in and doesn't touch anything except the mounts.

Ok guys, need some tank help. I have 1 inlet and 5 outlet tubes. Which ones do I need to hook up. I'm using a mechanical pump on the motor and its carved.

1 inlet obviously the fill tube, but five outlets. one looks like the fuel line feed the other four look like vents, which ones do I need to use? using stick 302 mechanical fuel pump and it is a carbureted engine.

it's all coming together. engine and trans mounted up great, radiator is all in with nice big fan, all wiring redone and tucked away, all engine bay plumbing done ready to run trans lines and hook up oil filter lines, driveshaft was a piece of cake. used a aod yoke from a 95 mustang and it matched up perfect in diameter and length on the original shaft. ready to buy the custom headers to install and finish up bending brae lines.

stuck for awhile. tore two ligament in my wrist. got shifter in and hooked up ready to start building the interior. picked up a good set of chevy 4x4 rally wheels with deep rings that will look great with some wide meats. need to get wrist fixed and rest for a bit.

Sorry to hear about your wrist. Truck looks like it's coming along nicely.

I would be a little concerned with using a driveshaft that is as small as the B2000 one. That might twist like a pretzel with that much HP. I used a mustang yoke on mine too, but had a custom length much beefier shaft made and with the Mazda flange on the back.

Initially I thought I would have to do that as well. I took the yoke off a driveshaft that was in a 95 mustang and the tube diameter and thickness matched perfect. I will look for another one and have it on hand. Thanks for the advice.
