Check out mtrain's thread I think it's called "project stranger" his is 351 based build....as for your trans you stated 4 in the floor are you meaning 4 speed or an aod trans? If it straight shift have you thought about how you are going to do you slave cylinder setup?

mtrain did a 363 stroker. Still based on a 302. Albeit an aftermarket block.

Pardon me for being wrong oh also in long block form the top part of 351 is wider than 302 maybe this is why it confused him

Yes im running a four on the floor its a ford top loader, im gonna be running a hydraulic trow out bearing. any advice on how to lower the cross member thats under the pan?

I thought you were able to raise the motor enough to clear the crossmember? I raised mine (302 with familiar Fox "double hump" oil pan) about 1 inch and got enough room to clear. Otherwise, I know there was a company that made engine swap kit for it that included a lowered crossmember, but they went out of business!

Look into explorer crossmembers for swaps. Often those out of production kits simply used those with new hardware and pretty red or blue bushings.

Mine is removed right now haven't had time to fix it..i was just going to lay the cross member on a piece of square tubing weld the ends and pretty much make a small c notch

got that crossmember finished up ill post some pics soon any one know of a nice fitting radiator that can cool a 5.8?

Not sure measurements on the b, mines gone so cant get them. But if it's able to fit 30 inches or so, look into a 88-98 full size chevy k1500 truck, especially a 454 radiator, or a 80 model ford 4wd, though they are double core rads. An chevy is single. Just my .02 others may know better options. Most end up havong to fab bumper mounts to fit v8 rads in.

Im looking at about 16.5 tall and 25 wide. So the serch shall go on also will a rx7 rear dif take a 400hp v8? If i recall some one here had a drift truck running that set up
