Is there any other make/model trucks with the same 6 lug pattern that might be slightly narrower and/or have taller gears? That would be fairly simple to swap? Into my 89'2wd 2200.

I have looked around haven't found anything Higher geared. Toyota is but it's five lug.. that's a future project for me.

Hell taller gear would just be a plus... if I could get. Half inch narrower on each side id be golden

The b2600i 4x4's have 4:44 gears, you may be able to swap one of those, prob not narrower tho

Thats funny I spent the last two months researching the h190 diff by Nissan none are narrower but had lots of different gear sets including a rare LSD u can get out of a pathfinder ..... Honestly I started this cause I am narrowig a rear end about a half inch on each side ....wheni was about to narrow my brand new mazda rear end I found the axle spline ends are Easley trimmable and May not require any re splining just cut the tip off re chamfer and go ..... I am doing this all so I can run my infiniti wheels and titans with no lip modification to bed ....

Jrock what kind of gear ratio were you finding on the Nissan? So far it seems Toyota has the highest gear stock

I'd say a 4x4 'Yota. Same 6 lug, most of them came with 3.90, 4.10 or 4.30's from the factory, and aftermarket support is HUGE for the 8" Toy axles. WMS-WMS on the 79-85 mini-truck and 4-Runner rear axles measure 55''. Maz rear ends (IIRC) are 55.5". So, it may not be a half inch short per side, but it is shorter. And you can get lockers/limited slips/disc brake setups, you name it, which are readily available in the aftermarket, or even used. Plus, if you want to gear swap, they are stupid easy to setup. I've personally set up a couple.

The only rear end I remember clearly it is a little narrower than the B series is Ford Maverick, I help my friend on 2 swaps in Mazdas B2000 and B2200, how shorter then the Mazda? can't recall, but it is, 1 sawp was with Maverick's Brakes the other swap was using the Mazda's brakes.
