Can we get some confirmation on the WMS-WMS width of Mazda B rears, I see 55.5 above but in other thread on this site I see 58.5

Does anybody have any pictures or anything as far as swapping in a Toyota 6 lug, or Pathfinder rear end? I am thinking of the Pathfinder swap because it is much easier to acquire up here, and I am looking for a 4.5 ish final gear.

Go Corvette, they have differential housing mounted to the frame, make axles the length you need, Maybe can have the axles drilled for the rims of your choice!
And there are several ratios available, 3.36 up to 4.11!

I'm looking for a CRV axle for my swap. Rear disc, Dana 44, 6 lug. The Dana 44 part means swappable gear

I went to the auto wreckers a couple days ago to scope out a replacement rear axle. They had 3 early 2000's pathfinders and 1 91 there. The 3 2000's ones had huge drum brakes on them, where the 91 had discs. Both were coil spring setups though, so that would have to be cut off and welded on spring perches, but measuring from backing plate to backing plate, the Pathfinder diff was 0.5" narrower. The driveshaft flange bolts seem to be the same (measuring with a tape measure), so the B2200 flange should fit. The biggest difference is the pinion is about 2" longer, so driveshaft will need to be shortened. The diff is massive compared to the B2200, and gear ratio is either 4.3 or 4.6, which is what I want. As for the disc's, a master cylinder change may be needed, but the parking brake is actuated by cables, and is small drums inside of the discs, so that should work nicely.
