Looking into moving still, still workin on that downpayment. 20 Grand saved in the bank, and I'm a homeowner. Leaving FL probably, I can get a house with a huge garage, land etc. for half the price of a shoebox here on a zero lot line. Looking to be out of the state by this time next year. So where in the GA, I have family in Atlanta and Smyrna, but I have no REAL preference on where i live. MUST be somewhat local to a half decent racetrack (1/4) like within 30 miles. Anyone have any ideas? I search for property and real estate (houses etc.) And I just dont know where in the state to look, where are yall stayin at, I know we have alot of North Florida and GA people here.

Nice to be here again, lincoln is still awesome.... Ttyl

Douglasville Area (Near Atlanta), is nice, thats where im from, but currently I live in Athens, GA. Id also look into the Snellville/Loganville Area, i like it a lot but it is pretty busy, but still somewhat close to ATL, but as far as a general rule id look for areas in Mid to North GA

Just got my townhouse in Kings Bay,Ga. I move in on August 1st. About 30 minutes from Jax. Scoped the area and its very laxed but there is a military element but I am military. So I'm in SE Georgia now. Havent moved in yet but I love the area and the fact that ill finally be close to the shows!

How far is that from Atlanta Scrp1day? Georgia is where it's at!

Hey Anthony I would recommend the Gwinnett, Dacula,Loganville area there's alot to do around there and also there's a 1/4 mile track in Commerce Ga which is about an hour north on I 85 with an open track night 1 day a week most of the time. Depending on how close you are to the interstate it's about 45 minutes from Atlanta.

Why not try somewhere else in Florida that is not south Florida - like Palm Bay?

atlanta is great. unless you are loaded, i wouldn't even look at a house in atlanta itself. even if you found one for a good price, you'll pay a liver and an ear for taxes.

if you want to be in the ATL area, i'd definately go metro-atlanta. since a racetrack is a must, go with what baha said, pretty much Gwinett county. Anywhere in Gwinett that is near the interstate because commerce, GA has a racetrack and you would be taking I-85 northbound to get there. metro-atl is really based on the interstates, I-75, I-85, I-20, and of course I-285, but of course there are backroads.

Well I'm not loaded but am trying to keep the house cost in the low 200's, something with a lil land, near atlanta not in it.

Then you should do like Baha and them said. My personal preference is the north eastern side of Atlanta. Wel the outskirts of Atl anyway. Which isnt far from Loganville and stuff. Im still back and forth between Georgia and Florida myself, but I would have to say the nicer places with decent prices are in that area. Oh and as for things costing a liver and an ear, well lets just say ive always paid less in the Atlanta area then what ive ever paid here!! Florida seems to be a tourist place and thats the reasons they say it costs more. :/ Good luck with it all though man!!

For real, the northside is too crowded. The southside is where you go to get out of all the shit from the crowds. But we don't have any (legal) racetracks. At least not 1/4 miles.
