Nice. If I did it, it would be in sections as I don't have a bender. Anyway, be sure to get before and after dyno numbers if possible. Now I can't wait lol

I've wanted to dyno my truck for a while now, but didn't have money for the last dyno meet before I moved. Will have to find a dyno place out here so I can come up with some numbers...

what all have you done to your truck? i'm thinking about taking some measurement tomorrow and ordering an intake.

check out project suki

i dont really have a together list of what all is currently done, but my truck has gone thru several changes/stages and still aint bagged yet lol.

thanks. not really looking to do bags or anything like that like you are, haha. this is more of a work truck than anything so i'm just looking for performance.

A possibility for performance could be looking into a v6 swap... One that has been discussed is using an mpv v6... Some of b series in other parts of the world came from factory with a v6 and it's believed that it was the mpv v6 that was in them since some mpvs (very rare) had the b2600i engine or it came with the v6 (far more common). Just a thought...

I came extremely close to doing the MPV swap myself.. I know a guy who put a 4.3 v6 from a blazer into his b, to be honest he said it was a pain in the @$$, it was the exact same amount of work as dropping a v8 in.

Yeah, but for those of us with the 2600i swapping the mpv v6 could be almost a direct bolt in... And wouldn't require much for modification like doing a chevy v6 or v8...

ya i've thought about doing a swap but here in CA we have to smog every 2 years so i would either have to swap it back out for the G6 or get the swap legalized which is a huge PITA. i think the G6 is a good base for performance, it has good displacement and makes good torque stock. honestly i would have put higher comp. pistons in it when i rebuilt it last year but no one makes anything for this damn motor haha. also, i don't know about you guys by my trucks power really falls off after about 3k rpm so a cam would def. help that.

You're almost better off staying with a B2600i, as the V6 MPV & the 2.6L share about the same horsepower. I own a 1992 4WD MPV 3.0L V6 and this is the most gutless POS i have ever owned (on road). When I am offroad, then it is one of the best 4x4's I have ever owned. I can and do go places that Quads go (they hate me)...

If I was going to do an engine swap of a B series truck, I would go with the Cadillac Northstar V8, the smallest V8 made @ 300hp.
