Mpv weighs more especially with the 4wd or the awd, and from the factory power numbers I was looking at the 2.6i being at about 120 and the mpv being closer to 160... I'd take the 160...

Curb weight on an mpv is almost 4000 lbs. My truck is under 2750. Replace the little from factory 121hp with one of the higher horse 3.0 v6, je-ze motor and you're talking 200hp...

Scale weight (me + full tank of fuel) in my 1992 MPV 4x4 was over 4250lbs

I would still opt for a Northstar V8 in a B-series

Automatic or manual...? And even still the weight of your mpv still beats mine by almost 1500lbs, and an extra 40hp with my 5sp would still be better than it currently is... Or even the je-ze 200hp v6 would be better than my currently 2.6i...

sounds good but what does the V6 weigh? what about gas mileage? will it bolt to the stock auto?

if there's a lot of extra headache then i'd rather keep the simplicity of the G6. i'd much rather work on a simple 4cyl anyway. as for power, i'd rather have the 160 but does the extra weight and trouble out weigh it?

Not sure. Tyre only thing that makes me think it will work is the fact that the mpv and b2600i's at one point had the 2.6, and I've seen b series tow trucks in africa that had an rs3000 badge on the grill that made me think it was a v6 under the hood for it to be used as a tow truck... If you could find one of the 929s that had the je-ze 200hp motor that would essentially be better than running the regular mpv motor. Same block but had a dohc 3.0 v6...

There was a guy I met a while back that was told he should be able to easily swap a 300zx twin turbo into his mpv just cause they were both v6 engines... Probably the coolest mpv's I've ever laid eyes on... Nothing is cooler than an mpv twin turbo...lol

i don't have doubts that it would fit but i'm just wondering if its really worth the trouble. i would much rather have a modified G6 making good power. not looking to make a race car but i think with higher compression and a cam, i'd be happy.

But that's asking for parts that dont exactly exist for our trucks. bought the only real option is complete custom fabrication, or a lot of measurement and frankensteining... Which is still custom fab... That b2600i turbo kit seems interesting, but I'd be afraid of completely blowing my stock motor, since its got so high of mileage, and most likely needs a rebuild which parts are gonna be expensive and nearly impossible to find still available... I can't even find auto store replacement headlights for my sealed beam swap online. Its like its been discontinued, and my only option is a full set of composite retro fits that use a bulb...
