you can remove all the vac lines and be ok, on the side of the carb thats facing the fender is a vac port..thats where you hook up the advance on the distrib. i just pluged off everything else that was suckin air...feel on the bottom side of the intake also if im not mistaken theres a couple or ports under there. for fuel lines youll just need the one that runs from the tank to the carb. you wont wanna push no more than about 3.5-4 psi fuel pressure to the carb.....the deal with the manual fuel pump i think is a matter of preference. i just pulled mine off and pulled the pin out that holds the arm that goes to the cam then put it back in instead of making a plate....it doesnt leak or anything but you gotta be careful not to break the plastic spacer

Carb to distrib--thanks. I pulled most things and plan to clean and plug. I think I'm gonna yank the pump.
