compatible Locking/Limited slip rear differentials?

I have an 88 Ram 50 and I want to put a locking or limited slip differential on the rear end. Are there any differentials out there that would fit with only minor modifications? I think that I will probably just weld the front differential since it is only connected when i'm in 4 wheel drive anyway.

Yes some 4x4 versions of our trucks DID come with LSD, find the orange tag on the door jamb or on the rear diff. that says something about needing to add lsd fluid with gear lube change, that will tell you if it has an lsd diff. Same goes with the late 80's maybe early 90's monteros which had the same rear end as ours. Just look for the orange sticker.

You can grab a center section out of a montero . Gotta check the gear ratio and possibly swap your ring and pinion since the monteros came with shorter gears.
