I've got a few pieces of Ti off of ebay before, so you may wanna check there. I've got 4 (about 3x3x1) pieces left that I have been too lazy to drill and tap, because it is a pain in the ass. Titanium is a strange metal to work with, it's really gummy and work hardens easily making it hell on tooling. You've got to keep it cool while machining and keep the tool moving. The chips are also flammable, which can be funny, but mostly dangerous. Like Seth has said numerous times, you can not weld titanium to steel, not even with the HHO torch. To me, those pics look like orange sparks. Titanium makes a VERY brite white spark.

On a side note, the HHO torch is fairly reasonably priced. I think they are around $3000. There is some tech school in Atlanta that uses them in there welding and joining tech class.
