So I stuck the new carb on today. Its still dumping fuel and running like shit. It still sputers a little bit, and it won't idle at all now. I got out the manual and retraced all 38 vacuum lines to make sure they were correct. Everything is where it should be. I really don't know what to do at this point. It was running awesome at Danger Zone. Now it runs like asshole again. It was much worse with the old carb, but its still not passable. And to make things worse, my extension is up in 5 days and I don't know if I can get a 4th one..

that sucks dude, are you sure all the jets, mixture screws and all that good stuff isnt plugged up or not adjusted right? is there a repuatable mechanic where you live that you could trust and take it to them? or if you have a shop that just deals with import vehicles, a lot of times those guys can just fix that shit like nothin.

Its a brand new carb that I installed.

I can't really afford to take it to a mechanic. I'd like to call some and see if they think they might know what to do, but I really, really can't afford it.

go get a small loan for like 500 bucks and just pay monthly on it, i've done that before on my rims, i couldnt afford them but i wanted them, went to the credit union and got a loan for 1 grand, now i just pay 80 bucks a month

Dropped it off at a shop today. Took it to the only person I would ever let work on my truck. Good family friend I've known so long I don't remember meeting him. Got a bunch of shit for not having a lifted truck. I'm actually kind of excited.


Just waiting in line to get worked on.
