I think someone was wanting me to do a kind of step by step on the body drop, so I took a lot of pictures. I'll do my best to explain things.
First order of business was to cut a 1.5" strip out of the rear cab wall, to allow for 1/2" of overlap.


You can see my latest trophy on the right side of the garage. Lol.
Then cutting 2" out of the firewall. I did the tranny tuinnel a little different. I am going to build a new tunnel that hugs the tranny tightly to allow as much room as possible for the heater box.

Also cut the front frame horns, and made sure nothing would hit on the way down.

Then connect the cuts from front to rear in one fell swoop. Its harder than it sounds. There were two body mounts that had to be sliced through, and some other thick mounts. The sawzall made it possible.

And the result is sweet rockers making contact with the steel beneath the frame (since my garage flooor has a wave mid-frame).

Now I just have to weld it up. lol.

that is what im doing right now those body mounts are a pain in the ass lol
