Progress. Lol.

I stripped the firewall and cowl with aircraft stripper. Stuff works like a dream. Also shaved the cowl.

I messed the metal up a bit where the middle wiper comes out of the cowl. The nut wouldnt come off, and I bent the metal a bit getting it off. It pulled it high on one side, so I grabbed a block of wood and hit it with a hammer. It straightened it pretty well, but its a little low in front of the hole. Other than that, I didnt warp it too bad I dont think. At least not for my first attempt at shaving.

I got it at the auto parts store. Its literally called aircraft stripper. Its awesome. Just get some disposable gloves, cups, and brushes. Put it on thick, and in about a minute you can scrape it off. Better to put it on thick or its a bitch to come off. The paint on my cowl came off in 2 sheets. And do not get it on your skin. It burns really bad. And if you get a glob ont he glove take it off and throw it away. It will burn through the glove and your skin. It hurts.

I used it to strip the inside of my friends bed for the bodydrop. Works great. And it was like 10 bucks for a quart.

if your stripping panels with that stuff, you can lay it out like a table, and glob it on,... the put a large sheet of masking paper on it... and it works faster and is less work....i use that stuff all the time at my apprenticeship... it does burn like spicy mexican food the day after tho!!
