Today I bought my Red Top. Was $108 with tax. I decided not to get the blue top because the color would be pretty off. I'd rather have a different color, than a color thats supposed to match, and doesn't. Got my battery tray finished up pretty much, just need to buy a longer bolt for one side so I can finish the tie down.

I mocked up with a dead yellow top so that I could stick it in while the tray was still hot. Don't know how you kill a deep cycle battery.. Lol.
And I relocated the hood release, and some little box that was next to the coil. Don't know what it was because it doesnt say, but I'm keeping it. Its under the fender now.

Can't see the hood pull from the outside of the truck, but its easy to reach.

ITS LOOKIN DAMN GOOD! I HEARD SOMEWHERE THAT BATTERIES CAN GO BAD OR DEAD WHEN YOU SENT THEM ON THE GROUND...I GUESS IT GROUNDS THE BATTERY OUT AND LOOSES ALL ITS POWER. I DUNNO IF THATS RIGHT BUT IT SEEMS LIKE IT COULD WORK.

its a myth. a car battery expert came into my work to show us how to use a new tester and he says it is nothing but a myth. i believe him i have my batteries for my hydraulics on cement right now and they still hold a charge and lift the frame and cab just fine,

Yea, thats not actually true. Interstate battery keeps a lot of there batteries on a cement floor. Lol.
