I now officially hate the DMV. When I first got this truck, I ordered custom plates. I've had the truck for about 5 and a half months now. It says 8-12 weeks blah blah blah to get them. So i get the call slip to come get them. They are wrong. Letters are out of order. So I tell them they need to be corrected. They say no problem and I start the 8-12 week wait once more. It took about 7 weeks for the plates to come in. I go to pick them up, and again, they are wrong. This time the letter order is correct, but the spacing is all wrong, and the plate doesnt make sense. I told them they need to fix it, and showed them the hand written form and receipt showing the correct sequence. This time they told me I would have to cancel these plates, wait 3-4 weeks for it to process, and then reorder because I did not order the plates, and the DMV did. I came back a different day with a parent to sort it out, and got a lot further. They cancelled the plates themselves so that they could renew the order. I have a receipt dated 4-15-06 that says I should have my plates in 8-12 weeks.
So today I get a letter from the DMV. I'm excited because I think its the call slip to come get my plates. But no, its another receipt like the one I have, dated 6-13-06 that says the plates have been processed and will be ready in 8-12 weeks. Upon calling the DMV they said it is my fault its taken so long because I did not pay the cancellation fee. I was never given this option... Fock I hate the DMV...

Almost everything in the engine compartment has been relocated. All I have left is the vacuum line block, and battery tray. Then I have to sort out the steering shaft.

Heres the dropped air cleaner. You can hardly tell from the outside.

And the stock hood fits with everything under it.
