I spent like 3 days straight cleaning my motor, prepping it for paint. Soaked it in degreaser twice and pressure washed it, then went in with a wire brush, steel wool, and carb cleaner to get it pretty much spotless. Probably the shittiest thing I've had to do on my truck so far. So last night my friend came over and helped me tear it down. The cylinder walls are perfect, so I'm just leaving it alone. My timing chain definitely needed replacing. So now its painted. I'll clean up all the aluminum tomorrow and see about putting it back together with the new timing chain, and the cam.



And it will get new freeze plugs soon too.
