congrats on losing the teflon tape, that stuff is bad. just hope you dont need to take your fittings back apart with that threadlock on there.

teflon tape works good as long as you put it on correctly.

why run a 3rd tank to just run air horns?...you can run horns off of your regular system already. air horns dont use that much air for them to need their own tank unless you plan on honking them for 5 minutes solid at a time.lol. im running my train horns off the 5 gal. that runs all my suspension, they dont steal enough air to really make a difference. also, check out ebay for the horns...i got mine from seige engineering....bad ass horns solid steal, chrome, and no plastic for under 90 bucks.

Yeah I seen those.. They had some on there for like $69.95 plus shipping with the solenoid and all.. I may just get some of those...

As for the above post about the threadlocker.. I used the BLUE it is removable with a little bit of elbow grease

they are good hornes, the ptc fitting is a little cheesy so i swapped it out for a compresseion fitting. it all runs off 3/8" line and let me tell you, they arent lieing when they say the horns are loud. i got the 3 horn set and they are FU&$ing LOUD... cant wait for the next dumbass to pull out in front of me...lol.

Do you have any pics? I would like to see it.. I would probably end up swapping fittings too.. I only have 1/2 and 1/4 line.. I have like maybe 2 feet of 3/8

man i got a 156 dollar ticket for my train horn but mine was off an old csx train

this is the horn when right after i got it out of the box. the picture doesnt show the ptc fitting its on the other side of the sillenoid. it came with the nuts and bolts and the little mounting bracket for the horn...and i was pleased with the finish...you can see where the blemish was but it was VERY minor, well worth the money i think.

i dont have any of it after i put the compression fitting on it but its pretty basic the threads and all that matched each other so it was just a matter of unscrewing the ptc fitting and putting some type of seal (i used teflon tape) and tightening the new fitting with the compression end on it. i can take a picture of it tomorrow night if you would like.

i asked my dad about having an air horn, like if it would be illegal or not. he just told me that its legal, as every car needs a horn, but if im out blowing it just to blow it, the cops can write a ticket for improper use of the horn. my truck is a rolling violation anyways so i put it on with no worries. lol.

Yeah I dont think you should get a ticket for an air horn.. Heck its just a "little" louder than a stocker...LOL

I belive im gonna get one off of Ebay tonight..

I got a couple of more pics... I finished everything up.... Now I just have to wait on the Threadlocker to set 24 hours then im off to the car wash...LOL Its still DIRTY back there.. I gotta clean that bed out too......

OH yeah I went ahead and went with the 10 switch box... It looks right at home there on top of the console...
