Finally....an update.
We've been plenty busy.
Front wheels and tires are on. We found out the size/backspacing we were counting on for the front rims aren't available in this wheel design, and what we went with interferes with the flares we built. We've decided to start from scratch with new fenders and try some ideas I have been contemplating. Anyway, the inner fenderwells are now finished, with trailer fenders, and tied in to the new radiator support.
Big news is....an new engine and tranny! A well known local engine/trans builder put together a healthy 383 stroker and a 700r4. Fitting the new motor, with angle head plugs and the longer transmission, required some rework and modified headers. We finally worked out most of the details and test drove it yesterday. It has considerably more horsepower than the old setup!! Burnout video to come.
